Woonsocket police share this booking photo of Tyrek Switzer. WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — Woonsocket police said Friday they arrested a man accused of shooting a 25-year-old with a rifle. The shooting happened on Brook Street just after 12:30 p.m. Thursday. Police said Tyrek Switzer, 22, shot the 25-year-old in the lower left abdomen after an argument. Switzer left his Brook Street apartment before officers arrived, Chief Thomas Oates said. After phone negotiations, he agreed to turn himself in to police.
